First ever liquid ultrasonic meter SIL certified by design

Many components are available for Safety Control Loops in the High Temperature refinery applications today. However, to meet SIL requirements many flow meters still consist of wedge meters or orifice meters with SIL certified differential pressure transmitters. The Ultrasonic flow technology however offers significant improvements over the wedge/orifice technology and now also has become available with SIL certifications.

The presentation will focus on the technology to meet high temperature requirements up to 600 °C and will show a couple of examples of successfull applications in the process industry.
